John Ashcroft in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida before the Honorable Judge Ursula Ungaro-Benages. Ivan Torres Hidalgo Gato successfully represented the client during mediation, pre-trial conference and the hearing that took place on September 20, 2004. The Honorable Judge Ursula Ungaro-Benages entered a favorable decision on the client’s behalf on October 18, 2004.After passing the bar examination and being admitted to the State Bar, Ivan Torres Hidalgo Gato went to work for Finley & Associates, P.A. where he acquired a vast experience in the immigration and nationality law field. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (“INS”), and today’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) under the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”); the Immigration Courts, under the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”) of the Department of Justice, the Board of Immigrations Appeals (“BIA”), the Department of Labor, the Department of State, and the Federal Courts. After four (4) years of practice and seeking to attain independence, in May 2005 Ivan Torres Hidalgo Gato decided to leave and start his own firm.Immigration and Nationality is Ivan Torres Hidalgo Gato’s sole area of practice and dedication.
